Alyson Hannigan was born in Washington, D.C. While still a toddler, she appeared in dozens of print advertisements and developed a love for posing before the camera. Hannigan attended the Northside School of the Performing Arts in Atlanta, where she played clarinet in the band and also featured for the soccer team. At the age of 11, she and her mother moved to Los Angeles so she could pursue her budding acting career more seriously. In 1988, Hannigan made her film debut in My Stepmother is an Alien. Upon completing her studies at Cal State Northridge in 1997, she landed her breakthrough role in the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Around the same time, she also achieved stardom on the big screen with the 1999 film American Pie. Hannigan married her longtime boyfriend and Buffy costar Alexis Denisof in 2003.

How I Met Your Mother: How did you and Mom meet? That's a question many children ask their father. When Ted's children ask him this question in the year 2030, he takes them through his life in present time. He takes them through tons of laughs with his friends Lily, Marshall, Robin, and Barney. When his Lily and Marshall get engaged, Ted feels like time is running out for love, all the while Barney tries to convince him that the single life is the way to go. Robin comes into the crew when Ted believes that she is the one for him. With each woman that comes into Ted's life, his children are left to wonder if this is their mother or not.

Regardless of what she's doing with her face, I love the outfit. A real femme fatale look there.

Never seen Buffy, but I like seeing her on How I Met Your Mother. I'm guessing she got cast there because of her switch to comedic work in the American Pie movies, just like Neil Patrick Harris did because of his turn with Harold & Kumar.
