Re: Kate Mulgrew's decision to not have a romance

If Neelix did have family or loved ones hanging around... Surely if he mailed all his old bathwater home, his extended family could buy and sell governments?

Re: Kate Mulgrew's decision to not have a romance

He'd be better off stealing a replicator and mailing that home.

The Kazon blew themselves up with a stolen replicator. The Talaxians don't strike me as being any more technologically astute.

Hey Neelix managed to produce a webcam show. You need to be real smart for that.

Hey ask the writers that question. I'm not the one who made him socially inept, actively disinterested whenever a woman expresses desire for him, and made him suffer more than O'brien did on TNG/DS9.

I don't hate Janeway. I just think she can be dumb at times and is definitely evil.

Re: Kate Mulgrew's decision to not have a romance

I liked Neelix. He cooked for the crew, helped their morale, he did a lot for them. Even got Tuvok to sort of dance for him at the end, when he left the ship.

Sure he freeloaded the hell off them, but he was a genuine character.

However I cannot imagine this guy naked loving a Klingon woman. I don't care how carefree and open minded people are in the 24th century.

I can't even picture it.

Re: Kate Mulgrew's decision to not have a romance

Their style of bedroom does not fit Neelix's personalty at all. Neelix is one of those people that wants to spend two hours on foreplay pleasantries.

Really stupid storyline.

Re: Kate Mulgrew's decision to not have a romance

really?

We can argue that he's a virgin.

Pussyfotty around kes' pussy instead of tomcatting might have been to keep his own junk in it's original packaging as much as Kes.

Re: Kate Mulgrew's decision to not have a romance

Exactly. They just had to go there.

His personality would been particulary too polite and soft for a Klingon woman.

"Well, ok miss Klingon, if you are agreeable to this, well, we can just adjust this bed, oh my, I didn't know you like to use knives to cut the flesh and, well I guess I can adapt, afer all, one time when ......." yada yada yada

What a silly thing to have him do just because there wasa klingon of the opposite sex present.
