Sony to make Manimal movie

Yes, that Manimal.

Sony Pictures Animation has picked up the movie rights to Manimal, a short-lived 1983 NBC series, and is developing the project as a live action/CG hybrid film.
Hollywood Reporter

I'm honestly not sure what to think about this. Does this even have the potential to be a decent movie?

It might be a good movie at least the visual effects will up to date. Personally I didn't think it was all bad but then I haven't seen the show since it's original aring.

Well James Parriott is still around he could reboot his own show. I really liked Misfits Of Science though.

A Manimal movie...... .

It would be faster to just pile all the money in one place and set it on fire. The end result would still be the same.

Nah...it has to be Abrams. He gets to replace Johnny B's glowing eyes with lens flares!

How far below the barrel did they have to look to dig up this, sure I remember the show but we aren't talking making a movie about a succesful show.
