Re: Best and worst comic book movies
I know the thought is that you have to do origin stories even with well established characters to bring the unfamiliar masses up to speed, but I kind of doubt there were many people who went to see the PPG Movie not knowing who they were...

Worst: Super Girl. Super Girl doesn't have a single redeeming thing in it. Not even Peter O'Toole can save it. I suppose straight guys and lesbians might enjoy staring at Helen Slater, but other than that . . . |

Re: Best and worst comic book movies
Supergirl is innocent fun for people that might have seen wit when it came out. It wasn't good but it certainly wasn't awful. children might like it.

Re: Best and worst comic book movies
Too many things were changed to making things way too Americanized and much more "hollywood". Like the movie or not (I liked it for the most part), it's tough to say the themes and point of the story didn't stray a bit. |

Re: Best and worst comic book movies
would have been better if the villain had been an evil genius. OK now my choices of bests and worstes are. "Bests Captain America "The First Avenger" Batman Begin Batman The Dark Knight Blade trilogy X-Men trilogy "also Wolverine Origin and X-Men First Class" Fantastic Four 1 and 2 "yeah i know some hate them, but i like them"" "Worste Captain America [the 1991 version]"

Re: Best and worst comic book movies
It's not like they were adapting Alan Moore or something . . . or even Lee/Kirby! (Anybody else remember the issue where Supergirl used the Super-Computer at the Fortress of Solitude to find herself the perfect boyfriend--who turned out to be a girl in disguise? That's what the original SUPERGIRL comics were like!)

Re: Best and worst comic book movies
If the movie sucks, it sucks. If the movie doesn't suck, it "misses the point".
