Star Trek First Contact - Blu Ray Custom Cover Art

With the positive feedback I received from my Generations Custom cover, I wanted to follow up with a "First Contact" entry. It's a different take on the teaser poster. It's still a work in progress, the backside isn't complete; but I'd like whatever feedback anyone has before I continue.

You know, while it's an awesome composition and nice use of effects, it suggests that the Ent-E is... inside a Borg ship, or surrounded be some. Or is it just me?

Thanks for the feedback. I kept looking at the front, and you're right. It started feeling more like V'Ger than the Borg.

That looks a lot better if you ask me

The cube still seems somewhat off, I think it's the size. If I may suggest something: try without the cube at all, and make earth bigger - and possibly in the process of, or already, assimilated (along the lines of what we see in the viewscreen when the Ent-E follows the sphere).

Why is the cube's surface curved?

Re: Star Trek First Contact - Blu Ray Custom Cover Art

Sorry I haven't gotten back to this thread for the past few days. Many thanks again for the feedback. I had warped the edge of the cube to give the Borg the appearance that it had the E-E completely overwhelmed, but I decided to take your advice and straighten it out, and reduce its size a bit. I also added some edge effects for the cube and sphere, and added a borg-ified earth. The back cover is not finished just yet. Let me know what you think.

I think it looks much better now. Could we get a comparison without the cube entirely, just out of curiosity?

(also, orange phaser beam? /ocd)
