Re: Glee - Season Four
The other character who I have sneaking suspecion about is SJP's character. How did Kurt go from intern to the creative genious of Vouge.com in like 2 days? It's almost like the plots are moving fast and everything is happening off screen. I understand the need to keep things moving, but don't we need trials and tribulations every so often? Other than that, I did like the episode and it was better than last week. I can understand Blaine realizing that he is lonely without Kurt but I liked the relationship he and Sam developed. The best story plot point though was Will with the realization of needing a new challenge. That might have been the only realistic thing in the entire episode. As for the music, it wasn't great, but it was decent. I appreciated giving Britney something a lot different than what she has done even though it wasn't all that great. The song with Brody and Rachael though was pretty good.

As for the episode itself, the individual stories were done well, but I can only handle so much melodrama before I start to tune out. I really enjoyed the music, though. |

But yes I agree with a comment above that the show won't get a fifth season.

Re: Glee - Season Four
Who is Eric? That's the boy Blaine cheated with. I'm surprised it wasn't Sebastian. Let's see if I've got this right ... Will and Emma broke up because he took a job that she encouraged him to get, invited her along, and she didn't want to go? Why are they breaking up again? After everything they went through to get together, THAT is what breaks them up? Not buying it. Bored with this Kitty, aka Quinn 2.0. She can go already. The ONE thing Brit had left was Santana. Everything else - she claimed two weeks ago - had been taken from her. Friends, classes, Glee club, Cheerios, etc., so now Santana dumps her? I think they did the Brittany 2.0 episode too early. If they were going to put her in her "rock bottom" place, it would be after she lost everything including her gf. Now what are they going to do with her? She has nothing left. She'll probably end up pining after Artie again.

Re: Glee - Season Four
Kurt and Blaine are on the rocks.. as Blaine said he's got no idea if they broke up or not. The only couples that really broke up and i think they did it for the right seasons. Like Finn or not he really was an ass.. he's got a good girl and he basically vanishes for months at a time.. enough time for her to realize that while she loves him it's no way to be treated. And Santana realized that long distance relationships rarely work.. i've been in one and no matter how much you love the other one that distance is really putting on pressure. So she did the hard choice and ended it before it hurt even more. Songwise it was quite a good episode.. the ratio of pop songs was a bit high but especially the last number was really good. While Glee lost much of its sparkle season 4 so far proves indeed watchable. But what's up with the 4 week break? You don't do such a big break so soon after the season has started!

Re: Glee - Season Four
While the level of the melodrama whizzed past me, I really enjoyed Blaine's rendering of Teenage Dream as a heartfelt ballad. Just him at the piano delivering the song without any other instrumental backing gave the song a buliding tension as it slowly became apparent that he was not just singing a tribute to Kurt. The break-up song sung by Blaine, Kurt, Rachel, Phinn, looked like a fantasy. The singers giving their emotional "testimony" mostly to us rather their respective partners made it seem like they were each trying to make their individual cases with us as judge. The final song, the one that started out with just Phinn but ended with all of the warring couples, was the cherry on top of the sundae (Phinn's singing notwithstanding). Even Brit got into the action. Just very well done and borderline moving.

Re: Glee - Season Four
Blaine's performance in New York was amazing. The break-up conversation between Santana and Brittany is pretty much exactly the same one I had with an ex. I thought the fight between Emma and Will felt a bit too manufactured, they both seemed to overreact. The only bits that brought the episode down were with the new characters. NuQuinn is just annoying. I'm assuming that Finn is going to take over New Directions while Will is away, which I think fits the character nicely.
