Which Star Trek captain in any series would you most want to be in a shuttle with for 8 days, doing scientific research?

Picard would be aloof, and not speak to me.
Archer would just keep repeating that damned gazelle story.
Kirk would try to suduce me (which is one way to pass eight days).

A near tie between Sisko and Janeway. Both come off as social people who you could have interesting conversations with.

Sisko for the win, I like cooking. Sisko knows how, Janeway sucks at it.

Note: This can be any Star Trek captain, not just the five major ones. (Those who were in the position of 'acting captain' do not count, however.)

think she'd be interesting to talk to, having LOTS of experiences and lives to discuss, not to mention some nice eye candy to pass the time

I think I'll have to echo Methos here. Ezri or possibly Kira (who according to memory-beta also made Captain). 8 days is a long time in a cramped shuttlecraft and we'd likely have a down-time while waiting for the shuttle computer to compile the data, I can think of plenty of ways to spend that time...

Though, I'd gladly hang out with Picard and Sisko for 8 days. I'd probably learn a few things.

Picard really can come across as snobbish to anyone outside his select social circle. The whole Enterprise-D crew is really guilty of this.

Janeway can be personable, but that's on her good days. My luck we'd spend all eight days arguing with each other because she's on one of her condescending streaks.

Kirk, I dunno... assuming he even bothered going on a scientific mission... it really does seem out of character, he'd probably just stick me with all the work. To say nothing of what always happens to that non-main cast person alone with him on an away mission.

Archer.. we all know how much he listens to his science officers. That would be a -very- pleasant eight days....

So I'd have to go with Sisko. Flaws and all, he seems the most personable and likely to be down to Earth. He has the family, the personal friends and connections and will talk with the little people so to say.

I think I'd have to pick Seven of Nine. Oh wait, she was never a captain, but I'd still pick her. But if I had to pick a captain, it would be the Sisko.

I'm a Vice-Admiral in STO so I grant 7of9 a Captain's commision.

I actually wouldn't mind shooting the breeze with Janeway she does seem the most personable of the main captains.
