Amok Time - 45th Anniversary - 15 Sept 1967

Today marks the 45th anniversary of the original "Star Trek" episode "Amok Time" making its world premiere on NBC: 15 Sept. 1967. This was the beginning of the show's second year on primetime television in the U.S.A. What can I say? Vulcan mating rituals are "fascinating".

Nothing to add, really. But transport yourself back in time, to 1967. Maybe you were a fan, maybe not so sure.

Then you tuned into THIS as a season opener.

And you were hooked.

Didn't quite work that way in the 3rd season....

2nd season opener: Spock loses his mind.
3rd season opener: Spock loses his brain.
