Maybe it'll turn out to be about as permanent as The Undiscovered Country (10 years too early) aka The Vengeance of Khan, or Star Trek Resurrection aka Star Trek Rennaissance.

Where's that George Lucas when you need him... with a Revenge of the Jedi sudden interest in doing Star Wars In Darkness, that'll put a kibosh on this?

I think Star Trek Into Darkness is clunky, but I can live with it.

I prefer it to names like The Phantom Manace and Attack of the Clones. It's pretty much on par with Transformers: Dark of the Moon in the clunky awkward stakes. I very much want to add SIDE in there, and I want to cut STAR off of Trek's title.

As much as I like this idea, though, I don't think it's what's happening.

Unless it's just a brief temporary disguise, I find that to be very implausible. Would that not be an extremely expensive alternative to something that is currently very low cost?
