Janeway returning to Trek Lit? (Possible Spoilers)

Janeway is on the cover of Kirsten Beyer's forthcoming "The Eternal Tide"

Is she coming back? Or maybe only in flashbacks? Or will it turn out to be some alien posing as her? Or an evil duplicate? Whatever it is, it's exciting.

"Full Circle", "Unworthy" and "Children of the Storm" were all enjoyable reads. I'm sure this one will be, too.

As long as it's a good story it's immaterial.

It will, however, be interesting to see if the talented Ms Beyer can make me like Janeway more...

I thought she got a raw deal in the books. This would be nice if true.

ETA: Teacake... does this mean that now you have to have Kirsten's baby, if Janeway is well and truly back?

(IIRC, someone offered last year in the book thread)

I suspect it's flashbacks or alien impersonation, since she argued so fervently last summer for the integrity of the storyline. (Keeping Janeway dead, since resurrecting Spock 20 odd years ago was a cheat.)

I just hope we find out SOON if she is coming back for good so I can buy the books I've boycotted new and read them.

If nothing else, this shows that PB has finally figured out that putting Janeway's face on the cover sells books. I hope they also put her IN the whole relaunch for good, because that will sell even more books!

Maybe it's Phobe Janeway, and they just look really, really similar. And the long lost Starfleet officer returning is Kirk. And Peter David's ghostwriting it!

LOl, only this would bring me again to BBS. If it's not KJ back (and hopefully staying that way) then this would be the biggest, cruelest double-cross ever (but ST.com indicates she is back, at least at first) and I will get out my copy of Full Circle which is hidden at the bottom of a box of books and well, we'll see, it won't be pretty, bring her back!
