Giada De Laurentiis: Babe of the Week #33 (Aug. 2013)

Giada De Laurentiis
("Giada at Home" host, "Food Network Star" judge, contributor and guest host on the "Today" show)
Thumbs up= Thumbs down= Thumbs sideways=

Giada De Laurentiis was born in Rome, Italy, the eldest child of actress Veronica De Laurentiis and her first husband, actor-producer Alex De Benedetti. Her maternal grandfather is film producer Dino De Laurentiis. As a child, De Laurentiis often found herself in the family's kitchen and spent a great deal of time at her grandfather's restaurant, DDL Foodshow. After her parents' divorce, De Laurentiis and her siblings moved to Southern California where they took their mother's surname. She attended UCLA, earning her bachelor's degree in social anthropology. De Laurentiis studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, with aspirations of becoming a pastry chef. After returning to the United States, she became a professional chef working in several Los Angeles restaurants, notably the Wolfgang Puck-owned Spago. She later worked as a food stylist and was contacted by the Food Network after styling a piece in Food & Wine Magazine in 2002.

Starting in 2003, her Emmy Award-winning daytime cooking show, "Everyday Italian," featured quick, healthy and satisfying Italian dishes. De Laurentiis began hosting "Behind the Bash" in 2006, examining the catering process behind big event extravaganzas such as the Grammy Awards. In 2007, a third De Laurentiis-hosted show, "Giada's Weekend Getaways," debuted on Food Network. On this show, she traveled to a featured locale and visited her favorite local culinary destinations. "Giada at Home" premiered in 2008, showing De Laurentiis in a kitchen preparing meals and parties for family and friends.
"Food Network Star": 12 hopefuls arrive in Los Angeles to compete for the ultimate dream job: to host their own show on Food Network. The finalists arrive at the Food Network kitchens to greet their mentors; Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis and Alton Brown, who help prepare the finalists for the biggest audition of their lives. Each finalist films a pitch tape and prepares one dish to present to the network, Bob Tuschman and Susie Fogelson, and to a focus group of Food Network viewers who will help decide who has a shot at becoming a Food Network Star.

I'm pretty sure she tries to distract attention away from her huge head by showing a ton of cleavage.

I'm not saying she's unsuccessful at this.

As for my long-standing policy, I always vote for the Italian ladies. I don't even care what she looks like. (Because, I mean, she works in entertainment: of course she's stunning, what do you expect?)

Is Italy like your most favoritest country? Maybe we should flesh out your top 5? This seems like a gold mine of discussion to me what do you all think guys?

I don't mean to brag but my country saved everyone in every single World War #DDay #AEF #Patton #Eisenhower #Pershing
