l believe they showed the Alpha quad. how dangerous their soldiers were to intimidate them - you have this dangerous being that can be so effectively controlled at the helm of a ship whose weapons slice through your shields and will willingly just crash into your ships... and that's just a taste. lt may not have been necessary - but they probably felt that showing the AQ wouldn't = a lost edge...
