HIjol, Reborn From the Ashes of the Ellipses

I am hoping for some good discussion regarding the way we all post and how we can make our posts better for all!

Hello, All,

Be It Known
I AM REBORN
NO MORE ELLIPSES!

No More Eyes Bleeding
No More Punctuation Irritation a
Only Proper Styles of Writing

No More Ubiquitous Use of the Ellipsis

Yours Very Fondly and Sincerely,

HIjol

P. S. Also, no more backpedaling...except for this one!

No more ellipses... But an Undeniable Upswing in the Use of Capitalization...

A one-time occurrence, merely for effect. I promise!

I'm a big fan of capitalization, being an aficionado of Colonial-Era writing; also, semi-colons don't get nearly enough love. In addition, I make frequent use of the em dash-- it's got punch.

And I thank you both!

Re: HIjol, Reborn From the Ashes of the Ellipses

great minds, RJ!

As for constructive suggestions - this regards nobody posting in this thread but is rather a general observation - there are quite a few posters who use almost no punctuation and leave it to the reader to find out where one sentence ends and the next begins. It's awfully hard to read, particularly for those of us who use English only as a second or third language. I wouldn't complain if it were non-native speakers who write so confusingly. Alas, they are almost always Americans.
It'd make replying to posts much easier for us foreigners if everyone were using correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and - if possble - explain abbreviations they use (or avoid them alltogether).
