^Indeed. I don't recall being realised six months after part 2 did 'Back to the Future Part 3' any harm.
Co-creator Bob Gale said he wishes it had been advertised as a trilogy. The way its done now. A lot of people felt surprised and cheated that their was no ending for part 2.

Of course it was a very different time. While it was known to fans a Part 3 was being made and would be out soon. Part 2 was not promoted as the second part of a trilogy. But if they were made now it would be.

Really? I've always loved the ending to part 2. The letter, the reprise of the clock tower strike (they *really* got their money's worth out of that sequence!) topped off by a trademark Lloyd freak-out? Classic.

Anyway, didn't a trailer for part 3 *immediately* follow the TBC? Anyone who complained clearly wasn't paying attention...and were ungrateful since they'd just got to see one of the best and most elaborate time travel story every committed to film. Seriously, how many other movies have actually time travelled back into another film...besides these guys?

Maybe complain is not the right word. I would have to look it up. He mentions on the DVDs that he thinks Universal should have promoted the 2nd and 3rd film differently. Also that the Part III's box office was hurt by such a short window. That a year wait would have been better.

I love the ending of Part II as well. I remember as I kid when I heard they were making a Part III right away, I had the idea that both would be shown at the same time.

Kill Bill wasn't a part two.

They just cut a really long movie in half so they could charge people twice.

If they had cut it into four movies then they would have made four times as much.

Wait, since when are there three Hobbit films? Am I really behind the time or something?

Three lord of the rings movies, which are technically "hobbit" movies.

A prequel to lord of the Rings "the Hobbit" is coming out momentarily.

Making a total of four hobbit movies.

When Twilight just isn't strong enough, what you really need is more Hobbits.

Not sure if this adds any credibility to the "two Magneto's claim" or not but James Mangold hints that Wolverine could tie into DoFP?

Cryptic answer:
Asked on Twitter how The Wolverine fitted into the timeline, director James Mangold (pictured top with Jackman) rather cryptically suggested the story spanned many periods, tweeting: "I can't answer you now nor could I answer before, but after everything is over I can answer, and that, in itself may be an answer."
The pics in the link beg the question that if the text on those are correct it wouldn't make sense in a period piece Wolverine film at this time along the films main mutant timeline.

Yup, it's 2012 and the Doctor has regenerated two more times also

I think you've omitted the link.

Edit - you included it when you posted in the Wolverine thread

^^^^
Thanks for the heads up. I was trying to post that before heading to a meeting. Stupid work getting in the way of the internet.

That link was really just for the newest spy photo set pics on The Wolverine.

I've gone back in and edited my post to include the link to the quote I provided that may be relevant to XM: DoFP.

Concerning that, it is a leftover from filming of The Great Gatsby. Look at the trailer, minute 1:13.

Picked it up in comicbookmovie.com

Have people seen this?

Patrick Stewart hints at X-Men return

Hmm...
If it does happen I'd imagine it'll be in Days of FP, the future segments, as opposed to an out and out X-Men 4
