Favorite James Bond song.

What song is your favorite from the Bond films. I'm not referring to scores, but songs written and sung for the movies.

Mine is Nobody Does It Better.

But I do really like Goldfinger, Live and Let Die and For Your Eyes Only (Which almost ties with Nobody Does It Better.).

So give it up, which is your favorite.

Has there been a CD with all the Bond songs on it?

Live and Let Die (I'm sure the majority of people will say this)
Diamonds are Forever
Thunderball

Those are my favourites and anyone who thinks Die Another Day is the best Bond theme is not a true Bond fan!

Hard to pick just one, though I think the better songs are from the Connery and Moore era.

Live and Let Die is definitely number 1.

The rest, in no particular order:

Goldfinger
Thunderball
Nobody Does It Better (The Spy Who Loved Me)
Diamonds Are Forever

Re: Favorite James Bond song.

My favorite is Goldfinger. Nothing compares to Shirley Bassey's sonic explosion. However, Tom Jones does come close with my second favorite, Thunderball.

I pretty much hate all the rest of them, even Matt Munroe's "From Russia With Love". I think I got spoiled.

Of course the question that has to be asked which is the least favourite.

I liked the blusey-ness of Goldeneye. Also, I know I'm in a minority, but Die Another Day is catchy as heck, even if it wasn't the best James Bond Song.

The Moore and Connery eras had the best ones.

Count me in for Nobody Does It Better and Live and Let Die. I also really like You Only Live Twice.

Whichever is the one that starts out with the line "Darling, I'm in a puddle on the floor".

Where's the poll? This thread deserves a poll.

"We Have All the Time in the World" (that counts right?)
"Diamonds Are Forever"
"Live And Let Die"
"For Your Eyes Only"
"Never Say Never Again"

*Initiate Smartass-Mode*

That's not a line in any song. You're of course referring to "Tomorrow never dies" by Sheryl Crow, but that starts with the verse:

Darling, I'm killed
I'm in a puddle on the floor

*Smartass-Mode completed*

Re: Favorite James Bond song.

I thought about a poll but it'd be a poll with 20 something choices.

From what I understand A View To a Kill, by Duran Duran, was the only Bond song to hit #1 on the US Billboard chart; and no one has chosen it yet.

I have the CD The Best of Bond...James Bond, which is more or less what you want, up to and including "You Know My Name" from Casino Royale.

Anyway...my favorites?

Let's see..."Goldfinger", "Thunderball", "OHMSS", "Live And Let Die", "The World Is Not Enough", "You Know My Name."

But of course...none of them beat the James Bond Theme itself--in all its forms.
