Facebook maps NFL fandom by county

Some fun maps here, showing which team gets the most Facebook "likes" in every county in the USA:

Interesting, even if tinged with a minimal bit of requisite Facebook invasive creepiness.

I didn't realize in Michigan here how many of the yoopers (upper peninsula - U.P.'ers) were Pack fans. I knew there'd be some but the divide is pretty remarkable. Then again, most of the state pulled that way when the Lions were out.

Judging by that map, the Raiders should really move back to Los Angeles.

I figured Dallas, Pitt, GB would top the list as they considered the "storied franchises" but the other graphic was interesting when it referenced the teams left in the playoffs that received "likes." It looks like Cowboys fans put on their Niners hats for the playoffs going by the map. That is pretty interesting considering their old rivalry back in the late 80's early 90's.

When I see maps like these, I'm always a little surprised at the strong Vikings support in North Dakota. I know it makes sense geographically, but almost all the NoDakers I know are Packers fans.
