You know, when I think about it, I'm not so much bothered by news of someone (celebrity or not) cheating on someone.. It's life. It happens, it sucks and people get hurt..

What REALLY bothers me is when the person cheating gets caught and pours forth with the tears and the mea culpas... Robert and Dream are right... She's sorry she got caught.. Blah..

Why should she owe the wife and kids an apology? She didn't make him kiss her...unless there's other information I'm not aware of.

I suppose it would be the diplomatic thing to do, but then, I think we're past diplomacy on this if it's as stup-...I mean, if it's as bad as it sounds.

If someone's willing to cheat, they'll find someone to help them do so.

Kristen Stewart isn't the only one expressing her anguish over her cheating scandal with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Hasn't it been rumored for a while now that Stewart and Pattinson were in an open relationship, and he was hooking up with other women? It was what started the whole "she's asexual and fine with him getting his needs from other women". Seems like they both had the option to wander, and she had to apologize to stave off the Twihard rage at her cheating on "Rpatz".

It's sexual politics. She's a woman, and women who stray from their socially-approved pair-bonds represent threats to patriarchal power, while men who stray are just exercising their male prerogatives in a patriarchy. Therefore, even though he is the one who cheated on an actual spouse, and she only cheated on an unmarried boyfriend, she is designated as deserving greater scorn.

And I think it's very silly to assume that people aren't able to make genuine mistakes and to be truly sorry for them. Especially when they're only 22. Kid's barely old enough to know what she wants to eat for breakfast in the morning; expecting her not to sometimes make poor choices and be genuinely sorry for them is just mindless vindictiveness.

I'll admit to being morbidly curious over how this will affect the marketing for the last Twilight film.

Because, no doubt, she knew he was married.

Now, if she didn't know he was married, the gracious thing to do would be to state that, offer an apology, and let the wife know that had she (Stewart) known he was married, she would not have done it. But she likely can't do this because SHE KNEW HE WAS MARRIED.
