RIP Eric Sykes

Aw, and I'd just been catching some of the repeats on UK Old, that they'd finally started doing.

Re: RIP Eric Sykes

Can you imagine any of the modern "comedy giants"trying to come up with something so simple but so brilliant as "The plank"?
I know that I might sound like an ancient old duffer(I'm 46)but that delightful, gentle comedy is so far ahead of anything that the likes of the utterly repellent Gervais and co. could come up with.

Cheers Eric, say hello to Tommy Cooper,Arthur Lowe and the boys.
