Nope, honestly don't watch any porn. But when he winces away from a white sticky substance that unexpectedly shoots into his face it has an... odd look to it.

Two more sequels announced

Since Marc Webb won't return for the sequel I guess this can be called "The garfield trilogy"
That's good to read. Hopefully the next movies have much better scripts for the well-deserved cast.

Well yeah, because it has a neat beginning, middle and end thing. Though there is something to be said for one shots as well as open ended series ala Bond.

I can relate, I don't watch porn either.

I'd never had a clue there was a word "bukkake" much less what it looked like. I mean, it's hardly in the main stream media.

I was on a coffee date with this nice woman from POF last week though, and when we got around to talking about our jobs, she smiled sweetly and said she was a "bukkake model." I didn't want to appear to be a dolt, so I just nodded and said "Cool!" Then we had ice cream.

Later on I sitting with my friend at another coffee shop mentioning my date. When I told him what she did for a living, he cracked up. Puzzled, I asked him what was up, and he explained. It sounded so outlandish, I mean I never see it on TV commercials or anything, I didn't really believe him, I mean what could be so appealing? I thought I must be misunderstanding so I asked him what it looked like? He pointed to baby in a stroller a couple of tables over, who had throw up all over her face mixed with drool, and said it was something like that.

I still can't believe anyone would watch porn of a model with a baby's throwup and drool all over her face.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man Review and Discussion Thread (spoilers)

Marc Webb is locked up for all three films and far as I've read (I've not seen that previous report reported anywhere else yet) not going anywhere, and if he did make those comments then they remind me of Christopher Nolan after each Batman film who wasn't sure if he would be back to do another but eventually did return. The only thing that has changed since the first two movies were green lit by Sony was that Orci and Kurtzman were brought in to write the sequel. Webb has a definitive story that he wants to see realized through all three films. This isn't a story to me.

One reason why there might be tensions between Webb and the studio is that the film seems to have been reworked significantly shortly before release:

I noticed some of these things as well as I was watching the film, but they didn't detract from my enjoyment of it too much.

Maybe Webb was having the same problems that Rami had with Avi Arad and Sony Pictures. I've constantly been curious about that.

Obviously OT. I'm not sure if you're being decorous but it's not throwup and drool, but semen. Unappealing stuff like this always has the same basic origin: A ritualized performance of sexual shame and/or guilt expressed simultaneously as sexual desire. I suppose the semen is supposed to be degrading and the degradation of the model projects the shame of sexual desire onto the Other. Those of us who neither feel semen to be degrading (sticky, yes) nor degradation of the Other to be satisfying would probably not enjoy what's-zis porn. (Already forgot the spelling. Probably unconscious resistance to an unpleasant idea!)

As unpleasant as it is, it doesn't seem to actually harm anyone any more than any other type of strangled sexuality.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man Review and Discussion Thread (spoilers)

A lot of that makes sense and was obvious in the movie that some stuff was missing or removed (in my review I said it made Peter Parker look like a manic-depressive with a garage full of unfinished projects) and yeah there were other threads that were left dangling too like the stuff with Dr. Connor's boss.

Seems like this movie wanted to have a lot going on and may have be spreading its bet too far because you'd think a talented film maker would know cuts would be made and when you've got this much going on a movie something is going to suffer. Here we had like half a dozen different stories, plots and motivations going on and they all suffered in editing and makes the movie look schizophrenic. If the movie had stuck to a simpler two or three plots (one for each major character/side of events) then what ended up on the cutting room would have been far less impactful.

I mean Peter just completely drops the drive to find his parents.

Peter just completely drops the drive to find his uncle's killer.

The Evil Poor Man's Asiv Mandi just goes off in his car and is forgotten after his encounter with Connors.

Any real "motivation" for Connors doing what he did is missing.

There's more too, the movie is sort of all over the place in a lot of this stuff. Again, I enjoyed it, but it seems like a lot of things were left dangling and not in a "they'll give us more in the sequel, I can't wait!" way but in a "WTF? What happened with that?!" sort of way.

The police seemed fairly inept here too. You'd think when they notice that men all over the city are being harassed by a masked vigilante all look the same they'd start looking into what connection the men have, or men who look similar have, and see that a similar looking man just murdered Ben Parker.

Instead of heightening interest the more I hear about this movie the more discouraged I am.
