JK's Potter Encyclopedia still a go

Even before the final Harry Potter novel was published there were whispers that JK Rowling was planning to do a Harry Potter Encyclopedia which, far from being a concordance, was basically going to fill in a lot of backstory and answer questions left open by the books. She even went so far as to sue a guy who tried to publish his own.

The idea died out after a while and with the announcement of her new non-fantasy novel it looked like it might not have been happening. But CNN is reporting that her next project appears to indeed be the encyclopedia:

Check out the user comments - obviously not too many Potter fans in the CNN crowd! Me, I've always considered this the 8th book and a final word. I'm not interested in Rowling writing another Potter novel, but something like this is cool.

Excelent! I was afraid this idea morphed into Pottermore, which I have no interest in.

It was I believe, once thought that Pottermore would have contained the Encyclopaedia, but this doesn't seem to be the case.
