Voyager needs to be rewritten to include this decades pop culture
Come on, that's just unrealistic They should redo a couple of episodes and just insert a couple of lines of dialog that go something like 'blah blah rotation temporal flux shields captain! By the way you should check out my facebook page!' OR 'hurry up and get those transporters back online!' 'captain the graviton disruption field is causing our pattern buffers to overload! hold on a sec i am googling what to do about it' IF they did that, Voyager would be cooler and mainstream.

Though given the time in which it was produced wouldn't it have been Yahoo and not Google? And was VOY pre-facebook as well? Well at least pre-facebook becomming the thing it is today?

Well I guess it is a bit more likely than Budweiser surviving.

The crew members probably know more about each other than they care to. That's especially true on Deck 9, Section 12. Then again, Neelix did feel the need to start that video newsletter thing. |

Teacake is right. Over 3 billion people died in WWIII, and 10's of thousand of nukes went off in a matter of minutes. The internet died. Sure there was a million teraquads of porn on protected/shielded servers with independant power sources, but almost eveything else running free died. Although you do have to wonder how many seasons of Ice loves Coco was was in the Federation Databse janeay handed over tot he Sikirans in Prime Factors.

Re: Voyager needs to be rewritten to include this decades pop culture
At it's height Khan ruled 3/4's of Asia. (On happily Divorced last night, Fran Dresher's Mother said that if life was fair that her husband would look like Ricardo Montalban.) He screwed the pooch so well that this Superman felt the need to run away into space. So in a more original timeline before Starling, social networking wasn't invented before man was knocked on his ass back into the bronze age. I was raised on old movies from the 40s. I know what America looks like when it's invested in a war. 1996 on Voyager did not look like kryptonians were running amok in India taking slaves and wiping out unsatisfactory genetic potential in the existing bloodlines with nuclear weapons. 2012 today, in America. Yup. Could you imagine an armed collection agent coming door to door asking every family to hand over their Tin and Nylons for the war effort, or risk being charged with racketeering and hoarding? Imagine such a collection agent going door to door in the gang banging tenements south east LA asking asking the crips and bloods for their spare bullets, to support the war effort... Or else? Should the 1996 kathryn visited seem like there was a war on, or is it MORE futuristic, not that we understood it at the time, that a Nation can go to war invisibly. Good lord. Kirk had an episode about this. The computer war game where the hypothetical casualties were marched off into suicide booths.

Is he still knocking boots with Selina Gomez? It's weird when child stars grow up, and they think just because they're famous that they're pretty.
