Where is this part of Risa? I haven't seen it.

Re: Your Star Trek Online Screenshots! (Part 2)

I was trying to climb up the one really high mountain to see if I could get to the top to take a screenshot. Couldn't get all the way, and on the walk down I found this landing with a nice view out to the other side.

And the mine hangar is very neat! I had been doing some exploring in the space map but didn't see it. I love that they are putting stuff into the holdings like this.

What do you mean.. .climb?

You do have the means to fly up to the tops spot, remember?

You know, I never did the summer event last year, and didn't have a great deal of interest this year either. But I did go exploring the environment this time, went powerboarding for around 5 minutes and built one sand castle.

Well, I would recommend getting yourself a floater.
A basic model only costs 50 favours or so. You can get that by doing one round of dancing I think.

It will let you get around much faster on the island and you can reach some spots you can't get to on feet.
There are a couple of expoloration accolades you won't get otherwise.

I'll second this. Both the basic floater and the basic power board can get you all you need. The better floaters (I got a medium one last year) are a bit faster and easier to maneuver, but are not required. The power boards are, unfortunately, pay to win (the more expensive ones are faster), but you can still get the race rewards; you'll just have to do more races to compensate for not winning in most cases.

Easter Egg NPC?

Playing The Guardian Of Forever time travel mission and there is a silent NPC observing from the turbo lift of the USS Kirk wearing a uniform from the future.

Re: Your Star Trek Online Screenshots! (Part 2)

One of the perks of using Steam for STO now is getting the ability to make screenshots back so here are some from the Risa event

Building the sand castles

And the Monument

Checking out the new promenade on jet pack

Also from the surf contest

Some with the new bathing suit I picked up along with mixed and matched sand castles

Also nudists have been spotted on Risa

Moving on from the Summer event I took some nice ones of an Odyssey owned by another person in the TrekBBS Armada next to my Fleet Regent.

And a look at my Fed character and some of the crew in the new standard Starfleet uniform

Some new ones today

First me leading an away team wearing the Odyssey Tactical variants, kind of added to the atmosphere if assaulting Rator III

And somewhere the head of DTI just had an aneurysm

Here's what STO might look like with a First Person perspective during gameplay.

Cool! I really wish there was a way to disable all the buff/debuff symbols. They really interfere with screenshots.

Re: Your Star Trek Online Screenshots! (Part 2)

One of the perks about the new Uniform update is finally being able to do Cold Call with a full away team in dress uniforms

Also I knew you could make a decent Kelvin uniform with the new Odyssey stuff

Also remember kids playing with Thalaron weapons might look cool but you can easily end up burnt, literally

And running around Romulan Republic Space I managed to bump into Shon.
