$10/each for 3.75" figures. 10-year-old me is in the fetal position.

My Masterpiece Soundwave arrived today. Beautiful fig.

Still on the lookout for Pacific Rim toys. Saw a few at Target before the movie came out. After I saw it I wanted a Gipsy Danger but they're nowhere to be found.

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

With Celebration Europe II gearing up to commence in Germany tomorrow, the very first images of the highly-anticipated new Darth Plagueis and a handful of other new 3.75" figures along with the first glimpse of the 6" Bespin Luke Skywalker have just hit courtesy of some of our European friends.

Cool stuff. I particularly like Plagueis and the Vizam (the Nikto Skiff Guard with the yellow torso).

A second Luke in the 6" line before they even get to Anakin?

Nice to know they have their priorities straight.

Yeah, tell me about it. For once somebody in that company's Star Wars division isn't sniffing model airplane glue and then throwing darts at a board to pick new character ideas.

Of course, three waves in and no Vader is a little disconcerting.

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I'm personally looking forward to a classic OT Emperor in the 6" line. Heck, I'd take a Prequel Darth Sidious in the same robes, so long as Ian McDiarmid in full Sith outfit and gear is one of their figures at some point.

I'd never even seen that version of He-Man before.

The New Adventures of He-Man. Short lived 1989 series that takes place after the first classic series. That figure looks gorgeous though.

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

That explains a good part of it. I don't even remember the 1989 series, and I was a certified and devoted fanatic of the original show from the early '80s! If I missed or forgot the spinoff/sequel it must not have been very good.

^ Ditto. Big fan of the original but had no idea that this even existed! Nice figure though.

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

It was okay. It's kind of the black sheep of the MOTU mythos. Most fans would choose to just ignore it as has already been mentioned in the thread. The premise was interesting as it featured He-Man leaving Eternia to travel into the future to a planet called Primus to battle Skeletor and his evil mutants. It is also notable since I believe in the first episode, Adam reveals to his parents for the first time that he is He-Man. One of the very few shining moments in the series heh.
