They did a fine job with Springer, and I'm looking forward to Sandstorm (who is a retooled mold).
Sandstorm hit the west coast this week; I just found one at Toys R Us. He's fucking fantastic. Quite possibly better than Springer, at least in his alt modes. Robot mode has some balance issues, but makes up for it with pure charisma.

And he has a wheelchair mode!

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

The giant 31" Man of Steel figure from Jakks Pacific has just hit the shelves of my local Toys 'R' Us. Spotted it yesterday while making a quick stop to see the store's selection and they stocked it right next to the slightly older 31" Dark Knight Batman. It's a pretty impressive toy, I have to say. The facial likeness to Henry Cavill is pretty close and the price tag on the thing was somewhere in the $29.99-$39.99 range. Superman collectors and fans of the new film who post here might want to check their local TRU store(s).

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Jedi Temple Archives has just posted a report that the very first merchandise in the brand new 2013 "Lava Vader" packaging design has shown up at a Meijers store in Michigan. They're just older toy lightsabers repackaged in new boxes, but they're the very first product in the brand new Hasbro packaging designs that's been officially spotted at American retail.

The first packaged photo of the brand new R2-D2 in the larger 6" Black Series line.

I'm really liking this one. This could be one of the best plastic representations of an astromech droid ever made.

Re: The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Here's a newly compiled list from Jedi Temple Archives containing what we as collectors are somewhat likely to see in the brand new 3.75" Black Series line between the launch later this summer and the end of 2013.

Anakin Skywalker (Episode II)
Clone Trooper Sergeant (Episode II)
Biker Scout (Scout Trooper)
Darth Vader (Episode V)
Clone Pilot (Episode II)
Luke Skywalker (Yavin Ceremony)
Padmé Amidala (Arena Battle)
Biggs Darklighter (X-wing Pilot)

Wave 2 (revealed by StarWarsFiguren.com)
R2-D2 (Episode II) (confirmed coming)
Pablo-Jill (confirmed coming)
Luminara Unduli (confirmed coming)
Clone Trooper (41st Elite Corps)
Stormtrooper
Mara Jade Skywalker (confirmed coming)

Wave X (revealed by JediTempleArchives.com)
Vizam
Darth Plageuis
Commander Neyo
Merumeru
Mace Windu (The Clone Wars) (confirmed coming)
Luke Skywalker (Jedi Training)
Yoda (Jedi Training)
Wedge Antilles (Snowspeeder Outfit)
Darth Vader (Episode III)
Snowtrooper
Sandtrooper (confirmed coming)
Toryn Farr
Battle Droid (Episode II) (confirmed coming)

Wave Y (revealed by flyguy.net)
TIE Fighter Pilot (confirmed coming)
Saesee Tiin (Episode III)
Clone Pilot Jag
212th Clone Trooper (confirmed coming)
Galactic Marine
Emperor Palpatine
Clone Trooper (327th)
A lot of the items beyond Wave 1 have not been officially, 100% confirmed by Hasbro at this point, but San Diego Comic-Con is approaching and we'll very likely get more confirmations of future Black Series product during the course of the event.
