Tim Russ in Rampart

For those who are fans of Mr. Russ, thought I'd pass on word that he has a scene in the new corrupt cop drama Rampart.

Set in Los Angeles, California in 1999, the story focusses on Woody Harrellson's corrupt, racist cop. While bein' investigated for a videotaped beatin' of a Latino man who rammed Harrellson's police cruiser, Harrellson is involved in a fatal shootin'.

Russ plays one of the men in the departmental hearin' for the second incident, and argues a bit with Harrellson. lists him as "Command Staff Member #1".

Not sure how wide a release Rampart is gettin', but it just opened in Austin last week.

It's playing in LA. I saw it at a preview screening two months ago. It's a good, if not great movie, and I was happy to see Russ in a small role.

That's a movie I'm very keen to see, being from James Ellroy...
