Kirk: Yes. Dipping little girls curls in inkwells (WTF?!!!!) Stealing apples from neighbors trees. Tying cans on-

Kirk is stopped by the shocked expression on Spock's face.

Kirk: Forgive me, Mister Spock. I should have known better.

Granted, we didn't get through it in less than twenty-four, but this episode was completed faster than the previous line-by-line thread.

You know I can't help myself anymore.

Captain's Log, Stardate, 43989.1, The Enterprise has arrived at Jouret IV In response to a distress signal from one of the Federation's outer most colonies.

No Sir. There have been no communications from the colony for over 12 hours.

Okay folks, shoot the mirror and watch out for moving planets, it's time for the randomizer!

The participants from our current thread are as follows:

1. LeadHead
2. Admiral Shran
3. BlueStuff
4. Enterprise1981
5. Alienesse
6. Vanyel
7. JanewayRulz!
8. leandar
9. Terran Empire
10. Athena28
11. ClayinCA
12. Ziz

Those names should be in the order in which each person first posted to the thread. No "weight" is given for who posted more or less often.

And, now the moment you've all been waiting for! Random.org, give us some love!

*drumroll*

Ziz!

Congratulations to you! We've had a lot of unusual things happen recently, BlueStuff getting the numbers a lot, the Number 1 coming up, and now the last number coming up!

So, Ziz, the next move is yours. Would you like to select the next episode we are going to do line-by-line? You are free to select the next episode or pass and I will re-run the randomization. You can pick any episode from any of the Trek series that you like. For reference, the ones we've done so far, ordered by series, are:

The Original Series
Where No Man Has Gone Before
The Man Trap
The Menagerie
Journey to Babel
The City on the Edge of Forever
The Doomsday Machine
Requiem for Methuselah
The Trouble with Tribbles
Spock's Brain
Space Seed
Mirror, Mirror
The Tholian Web
Bread and Circuses
Amok Time
The Corbomite Maneuver
Balance of Terror
Tomorrow is Yesterday
The Squire of Gothos

The Animated Series
The Counter-Clock Incident
Yesteryear

The Next Generation
Measure of a Man
Yesterday's Enterprise
Peak Performance
The First Duty
The Best of Both Worlds
Sins of the Father
All Good Things...
Contagion
Sarek
Face of the Enemy
Cause and Effect
Chain of Command
Q Who?
Lower Decks
Deja Q
The Enemy
Remember Me
Data's Day

Deep Space Nine
The Visitor
Trials and Tribble-ations
The Way of the Warrior
Improbable Cause/The Die is Cast
Favor The Bold/The Sacrifice of Angels
Far Beyond the Stars
The Homecoming/The Circle/The Siege
The Maquis
Whispers
In the Pale Moonlight

Voyager
Bride of Chaotica
Dark Frontier
Scorpion
Counterpoint
Future's End
Basics
Message in a Bottle
The Voyager Conspiracy
Body and Soul

Enterprise
Shuttlepod One
Borderland/Cold Station 12/The Augments
In a Mirror, Darkly
The Forge/Awakenings/Kir'Shara
Twilight

Once a new episode has been chosen, I will fire up the next line-by-line thread in the appropriate forum and post the link here.

NOTE: As has been agreed, when a person is selected as the "chooser," they will have 48 hours to post their selection. After 48 hours, I will assume they "pass" and will re-run the randomization.

WOW! Been a while since I got to pick an episode. Lemme think on it a bit and I'll get back with an answer later in the day.

I took the liberty of inserting a Scotty dialogue line not actually in the episode....once. Would it be considered too disruptive if such bits exponentially increased from time to time, MST3K-style, whether they were italicized or boldfaced?

Re: "The Squire of Gothos" Line-by-Line

Good question, I personally didn't mind all that much. Sometimes I will do something like that, but it's always with the line from the episode that I'm posting. You didn't post an actual line from the episode, therefore weren't part of the list. Somebody else chimed in doing something similar, they were not included either. You weren't singled out.

If a lot of interruptions were to be made in future threads, I can't speak for anyone else, but I would not be happy about it. I think you're line was funny, but don't run that into the ground.
