Re: Space Battleship Yamato 2199
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...-tv-on-april-6 Fan subs to shortly follow. Oh what I'd give for this (or any of the recent Yamato fare) to get a US release. I wonder if Voyager Entertainment is still around.

Re: Space Battleship Yamato 2199
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSTe5...eature=related As long as they're staying faithful to the original source material, I am all over this! (I'm sick to death of "We had to make changes to make the story accessible to modern audiences.") Of course what I really hope is that it does well enough that they'll be able to do series two.

As always, I will reserve judgment until I see it, but I am very gratified to see a resurgence in interest for this particular title. Yamato/Star Blazers was a watershed anime event in both Japan & the US back in the 70's and 80's and it's high-time that a new generation gets to enjoy it. ^^^ QFT! |

Re: Space Battleship Yamato 2199
Wouldn't surprise me if they toned down Analyzers antics just a bit. I'm sure they don't want to completely turn off female fans. Same reason they're adding at least one more female to the main cast.

Making them bugs was just computer game shoot-em up crap.
