I've only seen the trailer yet, but yeah, "This Means War" features Young Kirk (Chris Pine) vs Young Picard (Tom Hardy).

I found myself wondering why the trailer and TV spots looked so try-hard and unfunny. Then I found out who directed the movie. Mystery solved!

Good lord! Laura Vandervoort was in there as basically an extra.

It's almost like Smallville and V did nothing for her career or credibility.

There's a chance becuase of his drug issues, or that it happened 10 years ago, that Tom Hardy might not recall even being in Nemesis?

Because surely this would have been worth mentioning to Pine.

Mention it hard enough to Pine and Hardy might get a walk in the next Star Trek movie as a time travelling young Picard...

Followed by a Young Picard movie on the Stargazer bitchslapping Jack Crusher for half a chance with this ginger dancing Doctor.

Speaking of time travelling Federation captains, did you see Captain Daniels on 2 Broke girls last night?

honestly that would probably be an awesome movie, even to many non trek fans!

The old age/young girl factor would make the comedy even better,

shatners at the top of his game at age 80 and Patrick stewart just announced hes going back to hollywood

I think the mainstream audience would find seeing the two biggest stars of star trek in a comedy film amusing.

Here I am to resurrect the thread. I've seen the adverts for this movie and knew Chris Pine was in it but was until now unaware of Tom Hardy's involvement. Should be a nice, funny film with a little extra on the action side. I hope.
