Archer may have started off as a naive fool, but he seriously manned up in the last two seasons.

Picard's first actions as captain of the Enterprise were to run away from, then surrender to, the first alien he encountered. Then attempt to win him over with lively debate!

(yes, he eventually grew a pair, too. But OMG "Farpoint" was awful)

For some reason, people who vote on www.startrek.com love Voyager. I think among casual fans "Voyager" is very popular because its definitely the kind of show you can dip into easily and get your fair share of boobs and action of the week.

Frankly the results of those polls are often a total joke, apparently the season finale of "Voyager" gave people the most closure. LOL WUT, way to not use your brains voters ;-)

Definitely Turnabout Intruder gave me the most closure. It confirmed that you could put a black woman on the bridge of a starship but women were still catty silly things who lived for the attention of men.

As previously mentioned in this thread, its ironically not the best place to start or take part in an intelligent Trek related conversation.

A quick analysis might be in order (though it could be subjective)

1.>Archer, by the time the show got good it had lost most of it's audiance.

2.>Picard, is considered to be more of a diplomat

3.>Kirk, has entered the public conscience

4.>Janeway, fairly recent. Might be on air at the moment

5.>Sisko, DSN is the black sheep of the family. And given it's more static location. Sisko didn't have as much opportunity in earlier season to demonstrate.
