Episode: Future Tense

Anyone else think the pod that's bigger on the inside and possibly from the future (powered by a temporal drive, I think they said) is a nod to the TARDIS from Dr. Who?

If by "nod to" you mean "steal from", then yes.

Re: Episode: Future Tense

I think Trek did it better, tho. You step inside the TARDIS, and it's huge. Meh. The pod from "Future Tense" is normal until you look under the manhole cover and remove the machinery immediately underneath. Then there's a ladderway down!

I wonder what would happen if you were down that shaft when the pod was destroyed? Would you be destroyed too? Or would you climb up and come out.... somewhere or somewhen else??

Yes, Mike Sussman admits as much on the DVD.
