^Well thats sounds good but the showing is still lacking the main bad guy that will make it or break it. Without someone for Arrow to square off with, without a nemesis of great evil to go up against our hero will just be fighting goon of the week and that just wont cut it. Lets hope more is in store.
Are China White, Deadshot, and Deathstroke only going one off characters? I had figured either one of, or all of them would be recurring bad guys.

So are you guys saying GA won't be waiting until the series finale in season ten to finally put on the suit?

So Huntress is not specifically tied enough to the Batman Family to keep her embargoed out of the show?
I had though Bat related characters were off limits.
Well, it's not like Warners will ever be doing a movie about Huntress...

Re: Green Arrow (CW)

I could see a Birds of Prey movie. Hell, that would make a pretty damn good TV series too.

I was thinking about the cw first look article.

'Arrow" is not about justice or even vengeance.

He's just compelled to hunt shit.

Hunt shit to death.

Driven.

BY A DARK PASSENGER!

Oh, my.

Doesn't that sound familiar?

zapt2it.com

In an upcoming episode, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will tangle with the Royal Flush Gang.

Zap2it has exclusively learned that Kyle Schmid, best known for his work on "Being Human" and "Blood Ties," has been cast as Kyle Reston or "Ace."

The Royal Flush Gang, of course, is a band of card-playing villains, which will first appear in episode 106, titled "Legacies." Details are being kept under wraps, but sources say that we'll see a major bank robbery, with a crowd of hostages eventually leaving the building... wearing playing card masks.

Correct, she is so obscure I doubt that any Batman reboot would ever use her. If they want a female vigilante they would choose Batgirl or Batwoman.

Re: Green Arrow (CW)

In the final episode of green arrow, if she becomes the love angle protagonist, we discover that huntress had been adopted as a baby and that her real name has always been Helena Wayne.

I'm honestly amazed how much stuff they actually appear to be taking from the comics. I wasn't expecting anywhere near this kind of connection to the comics when this was first announced.

Re: Green Arrow (CW)

Me neither. But it helps that executive producer Marc Guggenheim wrote for DC before this. That may be a first for a live action show. We had comic writers write a few episodes, but never in such important producing role from its inception.

I am happy in particular with the Royal Flush Gang. Its such a simple concept in terms of playing card theme for criminals. Anyone who never heard of the comic characters will get it. Even the name, being a gang is very modern and timeless sounding.

In addition to writing and/or co-writing four episodes, Geoff Johns was heavily involved on Blade: The Series.

I'm disappointed I can't make fun of this show for its main character never putting on his superhero suit.

Actually I did. But it was such a short run and so low profile I did not count it.

I guarantee there will be people unfamiliar with the characters that will think it's a rip on the end of Batman Begins and the "calling card"
