A different BOBW
I'd imagine a grief-stricken Captain struggling to keep his crew going, while losing a close friend in a great crisis. Granted, the Borg would just learn about the medical knowledge of the Federation. And it might develop a new relationship between the Captain and Wesley. |

Re: A different BOBW
eh, I think the symbolism of Captain Picard as the captain of the strongest ship in the fleet was more important to the Borg than some random doctor. |

Re: A different BOBW
But for the sake of my scenario, what if the Borg had the opportunity to assimilate the CMO on the spot, when they were not able to take Picard? |

What would be the point in taking Crusher? The abduction needs to make sense from the antagonist point-of-view.

Re: A different BOBW
Of course that's not actually what happened when he learned of his brother and nephew's death in Generations, but that doesn't count. Movie Picard isn't the same person as TV Picard.

And what was the purpose of assimilating Annika Hansen? She was hiding under a console. They came across her. There may have been some situtation where the drones came across her while boarding the Enterprise. |
