I didn't like it or dislike it. There's no imagery there that wasn't pretty generic and there wasn't anything to indicate the premise (and I forget what's been posted here). I don't have Showtime, so it will be a while before I get to see it. If I like the reviews, maybe I'll switch over after True Blood is done.

We have a local "Horror Host" named Penny Dreadful (based in the town where my Mother lives). I wonder how she feels about this. Maybe it's good publicity for her.

You Know You watch too Much Doctor Who when you read Caroline Ford and Your brain hears Carol Ann Ford and you get all excited. <Googles images of her - She is pretty though>

A Period Egyptian Piece, Cool. I always Fantasized about an SG1 Spinoff set in Ancient Egypt (And other parts in the same time) with the original Reign of The Go'a'uld on Earth and a team Rebelling against/thwarting them.

There seems to be a lot of historical shows lately, which is good. An ancient Egyptian show will be worth looking at. AMC also has a Revolutionary War show coming up that looks good.

A&E Developing Fallen Angels Drama

A&E Network has put in development a high-concept drama from Immortals writers Charley & Vlas Parlapanides and producer Michael London. The project’s title, The 36, stems from the mystical Jewish concept of the Righteous 36, which stipulates that at all times there are 36 people in the world possessing special powers who don’t necessarily know each other but if even one of them was missing, the world would come to an end. A version of the premise was recently used on the Fox supernatural drama Touch where such 36 people were hunted by a shady organization. The 36 is set in the world of the biblical fallen angels. These dark angels, or Nephilim, live among us and are only kept in check by The Righteous 36. Set in New York, The 36 centers on Dane, a complicated hero who soon learns that he’s right in the middle of this battle for the soul of mankind.

For what they tried to be, I really enjoyed The Librarian TV movies. I'd certainly give a TV series a look.

Crap. For a second there I thought this was going to be based on Fallen Angels by Niven, Pournelle, and Flynn.

Re: sf/f TV development news - 2013

This is what I find funny about quasi religious dramatic programming... 70 percent of America believes that Angels are real and that they fight demons on a daily basis so all these shows like touched by an Angel or High way to heaven might as well be reality TV.

(In my head I am remembering Joel McHale going on about what Douche bags the Ghost Hunters from the reality show Ghost hunters are, or how stupid the contestants on the collect 10 million dollars in bounty if you find Bigfoot game show.)

Ioan Gruffudd To Topline ABC Pilot ‘Forever’

Ioan Gruffudd is set as the lead in ABC’s drama pilot Forever, written by Matthew Miller and directed by Brad Anderson. It centers on Dr. Henry Morgan, New York City’s star medical examiner. But what no one knows is Henry studies the dead for a reason – he is immortal. His investigative work with Detective Jo Martinez and relationship with best friend Abe (Judd Hirsch) will peel back the layers of Henry’s colorful and long life
It would be nice if we could change 2013 in the subject line to 2014. Or should we just begin a new thread?
