hi all, i just finished watching 'Cyborg She 2008' and found it awesome. i really liked the style of it. it's the first time i've ever seen a Japanese movie and was wondering if there are any other Japanese sci-fi movies i could check out?

thanks
Great film. My wife and I also thoroughly enjoyed it.

I recommend you checkout Yamato (animated or the recent live-action film) if you want to watch Japanese films with spaceships.
ya, cyborg girl was really great. i just started watching space battleship yamato( this is what you're referring to right?)

yasha-ga-ike, the English title is Demon Pond, revenge tragedy, love, demons, curses, a fun movie.

Daimajin, evil Samurai warlord and a statue that is inhabited by a vengeful god of war. Lot's of fun.

Also, Inagaki's Samurai Trilogy, the life of Miyamoto Musashi is great fun.

I especially recommend the first film in the Trilogy.

Now we know where Mr. Miyagi learned how to catch files with a pair of chopsticks!

Demon Pond is from 1979, Daimajin movies is from 1966, there is a Daimajin TV series made in 2010 which is set in modern times. I haven't seen it so I couldn't say how godd it may or may not be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimajin_Kanon

Infraction for spamming with three consecutive posts, and that after resurrecting a long-dead thread with no content whatsoever.
