give me a month to think about it but I find the 1990ies scenario highly unlikely

Re: Plot speculations: Star Trek XII
I also don't rule out the possibility that all the Khan rumors are nothing but a red herring, especially given Bob Orci's recent Khan-related hints, which somehow strike me as clever gambit to keep leading us merrily down the wrong path as long as we're already so eager to follow it. Khan or no Khan, though, I still think Weller and Eve are playing Seven and Lincoln. Pull up a picture of Weller alongside Robert Lansing (who originally played Gary Seven) and tell me they don't bear some striking similarities. I would say their personal mannerisms and acting performances are also quite similar. |

I don't regard the role description of "C.E.O." for Weller's character as anything definitive. |

Re: Plot speculations: Star Trek XII
Maybe the Enterprise will find Gary Seven and Roberta Lincoln in another sleeper ship, one sent after the Botany Bay? (and in the Prime universe, they're STILL floating out there ) That way, there isn't any time travel.

Re: Plot speculations: Star Trek XII
Very good point. They pretty much could do what they want with them and for Trek fans it would be a nice Easter egg and for the general audience they would be completely knew characters.
