ENTER! Misc Avatar Contest "Presents!"

New Contest!

Since it is that time of year of giving and receiving of gifts...I thought this would be a good time for...PRESENTS!

Basically come up with an avatar that has to do with presents/gifts...etc.

A gift or a present is the transfer of something without the expectation of receiving something in return. Although gift-giving might involve an expectation of reciprocity, a gift is meant to be free. In many human societies, the act of mutually exchanging money, goods, etc. may contribute to social cohesion. Economists have elaborated the economics of gift-giving into the notion of a gift economy. By extension the term gift can refer to anything that makes the other happier or less sad, especially as a favor, including forgiveness and kindness.

* No TV/Movies or General Media(Music, books, video games etc).

* TrekBBS avatar rules apply; Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 140.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

* TrekBBS image rules apply; Plus, you should only include an inline images from web space that you own, or with the permission from the webmaster on which the image is located to avoid what results in costly bandwidth theft to the originating site owner. You can create an account with PhotoBucket Or ImageShack to host your images.

4 days to enter...not counting today and 3 days of voting will follow. So until Saturday/Sunday to enter and poll will go up late Sunday or early Monday.

Question 1: When you say no TV/Movie, etc. do you mean we can't use images of say, A Charlie Brown Christmas? or do you mean I can't use a TV set as my entry?

I have it on good authority (see this post:

A TV set is fine, Charlie Brown and other TV shows, movies, or media are not.

And yes, the avatar size limit was recently increased to 150x150.

In the user CP it still says 140x140??? I will change it to 150x150 though.

Hmmm, never mind then. Maybe it's just a premium member/staff member thing. Mine says 150x150.

There was never any kind of announcement about it, so I just figured it was one of those things Antony was tinkering with in the middle of the night.

I am keeping it at 140x140 then for the general population.

That's just because I made that avatar before the switch to 150x150 and didn't bother to change it.
