Anyone else think that Renard just may be a human and not a Wessen? If he was a Wessen he must have fantastic control to not at least show his true self for a second or two while tied up and tortured.
I don't think he's human, but I commented about his control right then, too. Knocked unconscious and still in control? Uh.....

And right when I was starting to like Juliette, they make her not believe what Nick's saying. She's seen some weirdness already.

Regardless, I really like this show! Nick has grown, and yes, that was one hell of a beat down he gave Kimura(?).

Was I imagining, or when Mom revealed herself a few times, her face shifted also. Mainly at the temples, but I could swear I saw a shift at least twice, gong into fighting mode at the hotel, coming out of it with Nick. Someone check me on that?

Fun episode, nice set up for next season.

I wonder if it's possible for humans to become Wessen? Is that where the came from - some witch hexed a cat that scratched them?

Ratings up 33% for finale!

Considering how Smash has err crashed in the ratings, that makes Grimm NBC's superstar among the freshman clash. Better luck next year, NBC.

Really enjoyed the finale, although I also guessed that the woman in black would be Nick's mom, that's just exactly the kind of twists shows like to go for in the finale. I'm glad that Nick told Juliette, so I really hope she doesn't forget everything when she wakes up. I'm very curious to see exactly where they're headed with Hank, because he wasn't looking so good at the end there.

That was quite a scene - they continued it for much longer than is usual for a TV show, just allowing Nick to ramble on and on without cutting away to something else in the usual ADD fashion of broadcast television. That's one thing I like about this show, that every so often they do something unusual that sort of breaks the rules.

Why didn't he take her to Munroe first?

That was just a dick move waste of time considering she was dying of an unknown poison.

Jack Bauer would have knocked her out with the but of his pistol and dragged her to the hospital unconscious.

Any real man would have.

A list of real men.

Yul Brynner
Steve McQueen
James Coburn
Robert Vaughn
Charles Bronson
Horst Buchholz
Brad Dexter

To be fair to her Nick was acting a bit too manic. If he acted a bit more calmly she may have believed him.

Isn't that what they suggested happened to Adalind?

Looking at it from Nick's POV, he has been keeping this huge secret for most of a year so he had to have been relieved to finally be able to tell his fiancee. He just got...a little carried away.

As for why he didn't take her to Monroe first, he was probably hoping she'd believe his explanation about the trailer and its contents rather than freak her out with a werewolf.

no. As far as we can tell she was born that way. Remember her mother was a hexenbeast too.

When Nick brought up the line of Hitler, I knew it was all over in regards to her beliving him.

Re: Grimm (NBC) Season 1 Discussion *Spoilers!*

Why was he manic?

i mean, consider all you blokes keeping your my little pony fetish secret from your wife.

How painful it is to keep that sick part of your life buried, and wouldn't it be such a relief to share this illness with her if you could just convince her that ponies are cool?

The faster she recoiled, the more desperate he became, the fasterer she recoiled, the more desperater he became, the more...

It's like a really powerful engine powered by disgust.
