Thank you, Guartho, for giving me double secret diabetes.
Did you see the video I posted on Facebook?
No, I haven't. Is this some secret plan to kill me and take my stereo?

We probably don't interact on FB enough for it to be in your feed, but if you go to my profile it's the top thing on my wall.

I'll have to check it out when FB is acting normal. It's being a little strange at the moment for some reason.
Also, no. You're not getting my stereo.

Expelliarmus!

The wand is a stick she picked up in the front yard. I haven't made her wand yet.

So all this work only saved us about 10 bucks over buying the robe-only costume in the store, but I always thought home-made costumes were more special as a kid and I really wanted to make something special and unique for my little girl. She wears it to pre-school today for their costume party. I can't wait.

those are wonderful! making my kids costumes always ended up costing way more than just buying one but was always more satisfying and fun.

EDIT:

I have some pictures taken from our Halloween office party on Wednesday (10/26). The engineering department did a fantastic job with the decorations as usual.

Check out my gear/accessories (CSI badge, hat, police bag). Near my desk, I drew an outline of a dead body and hung a police tape, and my co-workers got a kick out of it.

Very clever! Great decorations, especially for an office party.

Re: Halloween 2011: Costume Ideas, Events, etc.

Thanks. Although I work in another department (accounting), I look forward to the office Halloween party every year, hosted by engineering on another floor. I love it! They do a great job with the decors. A lot of people dress up, too. This year, someone was dressed up as Lady Gaga. She was a riot!

Thanks, J. Her name is Laura. She's cute. Last year, she and I had a picture taken together, too. I was the pope and she was Lucy from Peanuts. Her group gets really creative with their costumes.
