Re: The most disliked episode of DS9 - Part Three
Meridian Prophet Motive Family Business Heading off to bed now....was very very tempted to save Meridian as some strange part of me actually doesn't mind it (especially the B-plot)...but I just can't in good conscience when Through the Looking Glass is still there, which is a fun action romp. Before the mirror universe got too tedious and silly. |

Re: The most disliked episode of DS9 - Part Three
Prophet Motive Family Business The Search (II). The dream resolution might have been a cop-out, but I still don't get the hate. And it's much better than what is left. (And much better than some that have been saved *cough* Fascination *cough*.) |

Re: The most disliked episode of DS9 - Part Three
Family Business I'll save Prophet Motive. As a Ferengi episode, it sucks slightly less than Family Business, which has Moogie in it.

7 > 5 > 6 > 2 > 4 > 3 > 1. Sorry, I'm from GameFAQs. We rank things for a living, it feels like. Anyway, they're all solid to me except the first year, which is passable but shaky. Third season being the weakest overall is definitely not something I can get behind.

Re: The most disliked episode of DS9 - Part Three
I can't keep up. I was replying to you so was including The Search Part 2 in there...
The correct ( ) sequence is: 5-7-6-4-2-3-1. Though 6 & 7, and 4 & 2 tend to float around a bit if I'm rewatching. And woo! Meridian is this season's stinker! Though we all knew this! This episode does have a pretty amazing B-plot though.

2 and 4 do tend to fluctuate back and forth for me.

Re: The most disliked episode of DS9 - Part Three
The best "season" starts with Things Past and ends with Sacrifice of Angels. The opening 6-episode arc of season 6 is great, then it gets diluted, though there are several excellent/great episodes. I can see why you'd put 7 first - it sustains the momentum better with the final arc, because it's longer and because it's the end, and there are several other great episodes, but for me it's too marred by the whole Pah-wraiths and Sisko's Prophet Mom thing. |

Re: The most disliked episode of DS9 - Part Three
I would say "The Muse" is probably the worst episode of the fourth season but it's not as bad as four or more second-season outings. That opening arc in the sixth season is terrific. Everything you said about why the seventh season is at the top for me is exactly how I feel, except of course that those lesser elements don't quite bother me as much as they do most people. I'm also an Ezri fan. It's true that introducing a new cast member in the final year of a dramatic series can (and to some extent did) cause problems but I enjoyed her development enough to let it slide.

Except for Jeff O'Connor, since he's an Ezri fan. 6 > 7 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 2 > 1
