TNG on Amazon Instant Video Anomoly

Greetings!

Ever since getting Amazon Prime, I have been watching a lot more Star Trek. I was watching "Conundrum" earlier today and was fascinated because all the audio effects were absent. All the speech was still there, but there was no sound from phasers, doors, computer panels, etc. Even the background rumble was gone. The silent exterior shots of the ship reminded me of 2001: A Space Odyssey. I don't really understand how that could happen.

If you have amazon prime, check it out. Its kinda cool

They must have goofed and only enabled the centre channel.

I don't think that is it, as Prime shows all TNG eps as two-channel stereo.

They also show all TNG eps with sound effects too, with the exception of this episode...

Yeah, but that doesn't mean they didn't start out with a 5.1 source. If so, someone may have goofed when they brought it down to 2.0

It's only a guess.
