I don't see anything that disqualifies it from being in the 70s-- but then, I don't remember anything saying that it is in the 70s (though it was a couple of weeks ago that I watched the beginning).
The first subtitle says 1975 in the first episode.
Ah, well then....

The scenes in the office, while the guy is running away, looked like today. The elevator buttons. The ceiling tiles. Just looked modern. Though, they did feature a typewriter in one shot. A non electric one... which would be an odd feature in an office in 1975. I would think an electric one would be more appropriate.
Hmm. I'm not sure about office stuff. I was just a kid and didn't pay attention. I suppose I'd have to compare it to office scenes on Starsky & Hutch or something. But I was still using a manual typewriter until about 1978.

I'd expect a government office in 1975 to have an electric typewriter, but that doesn't mean that all did have them.

Yeah, it probably depended on the funding for that particular department.

I watched the first 3 episodes, and it seemed pretty good for the first half hour of a Pilot.

I'll probably have time to watch more today. I won't be going far. Hopefully the power will stay on....

Re: Mercury Men Syfy web series

I watched this series when it first aired a few years ago and loved it. However, it's all but disappeared now. No longer available on SyFy.com, Amazon.com or any other digitial platform.

According to the last update from the director a DVD "is coming" but that was back in 2013.

Does anyone know of a place to watch this? I can't seem to locate my digital copies and have been really wanting to watch some more adventures of Jack Yaeger!

Not that I know of-- I seem to remember a new storyline starting just before they stopped putting episodes on On Demand, but I might be wrong.

Where was that update posted? Do they have a website?

Re: Mercury Men Syfy web series

The first "series" ran for 9 episodes. The 10th was the beginning of a new arc which is the last one that they aired.

The director (and cast) want to do more but last I heard he is working on Felicia Day's GUILD series now for Geek & Sundry.

Sigh... I need more Mercury Men!!!
