See, I still don't get the thumbs-down vote. There have BOTW that I have voted sideways on becasue they just don't do it for me but I recognize the fact that they are still beautiful women.

I also have a hard time believing that if any of us were single and approached by one of these "Thumbsdown" women that none of us would show any interest.

). But, even when I don't personally find a woman all that attractive, I'll often vote Sideways as I can see how others find her so.

It really takes a lot for me to vote Thumbs Down. I either have to genuinely find her unattractive (a rarity) or be completely repulsed by her personality (more common).

And, for the record.... I'm a Ginger over Mary Ann kind of guy as well as a Veronica over Betty one.

i think i've only voted down on a few. generally if they just don't wow me, i vote sideways because they're not provoking a reaction either way.

Well, I differentiate between the real life scale and the celebrity babe scale. If I voted based on whether they're hot on an everyday basis then I'd vote thumbs up every time and there'd be no point. I'm applying a higher standard based on the extent they make my heart go pitter patter and command my attention in terms of the celebrity tableux.

As for where the "down" votes come from, having cast a few myself, I can understand how someone who everybody else may say is hot just does nothing for at least one person.

And no, I wouldn't toss a few of those "downs" to the floor immediately...but unlike with a "thumbs up", I'd have to think about it, which is the point.

the main (G)BOW downs I've had (IIRC) are Claudia Black and Katee Sackhoff who i just don't find remotely attractive and would quite happily say 'not interested' too.

if one of the sideways votes threw herself at me, then i might think about it before probably saying yes.
