The best episode of Voyager - Final Part

Something a little different for the final round. To proceed as normal, it would be over very quickly indeed, so here we have the winners and runner ups of each season:

Season One: State of Flux
Wild Card: Eye of the Needle
Season Two: Projections
Wild Card: Meld
Season Three: Before and After
Wild Card: Worst Case Scenario
Season Four: Prey
Wild Card: The Gift
Season Five: Counterpoint
Wild Card: Relativity
Season Six: Pathfinder
Wild Card: Life Line
Season Seven: Homestead
Wild Card: Repentance

*RULES*

Give what you consider to be the worst/your least favorite episode ONE point, and briefly explain WHY. Be sure to copy and paste the list with your point added. When an episode reaches 3 points, it is eliminated. Then a NEW round begins (in this thread) with the numbers restored to 0. Vote ONCE per round.

Worst Case Scenario - 0

I'll do the honors then, and give the first point to The Gift. By virtue of marking her departure it's the best Kes episode, but it's still a Kes episode.

Voting for Homestead in this round. I never cared much for this episode, and I thought it was odd for Neelix to leave the ship. And, Talaxians that far out--really?

I think those Talaxians would be toast as soon as Voyager left. Out goes "Homestead."

I concur, and am sending "Homestead" home. Granted, Voyager Season 7 wasn't great, but I still don't think Homestead deserved to win.

Repentance - Could the anti-death penalty message have been any more heavy-handed? Nevermind that they completely ignore one vital issue at hand - he was legally sane when he committed the crime. Feeling guilty about it afterwards means nothing.

I'll also vote Repentance - somewhat good but not subtle. Certainly wish it hadn't got through as it doesn't hold up to the other good episodes here.

I'll also chime in with a vote against Repentance. The death penalty argument is tired and didn't need to be brought up again. Plus, Voyager has no business in the judicial affairs of these aliens. They don't know them and have no frame of reference to place judgement. Total PD issue with meddling, and we've had too many of those kinds of episodes. Plucked out like a mote in the eye.

Eye of the Needle - did anybody really think they would get home in only the SIXTH episode?!

Worst Case Scenario - it's a good episode but it's just more holodeck hijinks by the end, even if we do get to see Seska again.

Seconding Eye of the Needle - agreeing with Admiral Shran, and a follow-up, no matter how little, would've been nice.

I'm putting a mark against projections. Weakest episode in the list, in my opinion, and I don't like the "It was just a dream" thing they did.

Voted out Eye of the Needle. The worst episode on this list IMO.
