Trek Ipad app any good?

Was about to grab this from the Itunes store for the kids, but reviews are pretty negative.

Anyone got it? Worth buying?

Meh. It's like Memory Alpha on your iPad. Beeps a lot, like the reviews say. I wanted it to function like a padd - like notes, at least, in an LCARS way. Not worth the money to me. Beep beep.

^ Agreed. Memory Alpha is better anyway. CBS doesn't integrate all of their content in the way the fans do. The PADD app is nothing but a glorified beeping version of the Trek Encyclopedia (dumbed-down).
