The premiere did seem to move along at a (relatively) more brisk pace.

And you guys make a good point about Nathan and Duke. That scene was a nice touch.

Episode 2 has aired.

I thought it was pretty good as far as the main story. A very nice gesture by Nathan at the end.

The mythology part is getting pretty muddled though. I really hope they don't over-complicate things. The book and "our" Agent Howard? He's on tape so we know he's real. Where is he? What is his deal?

And why is newspaper guy so scared of Lucy?

What was that little conversation between the brothers at the end -- I thought he said it wasn't actually Lucy but someone else? I didn't catch exactly what they said/meant.

I wonder if Our!Howard is someone in a string of someones who've been keeping an eye on Lucy/Audrey since she left Haven. Did they say Lucy had helped stop the Troubles when they happened before? Maybe the Chief wanted to make sure someone would guide her back to Haven when the Troubles started again.

Maybe Lucy's Trouble is taking on other people's personas and forgetting her own.

Nathan was adorable as he enjoyed feeling things again. And...what a look on his face when Audrey laid her hand on his, after he'd lost the ability again. Of course, he could feel that.

Good episode. I liked how the bonds between Audrey and Nathan are tightening. Like the other poster said, I hope the mythology doesn't get muddled. There are a lot of other things to keep an eye on.

He asked him if he saw Lucy, and he denied it (but it was clearly her). He lied. So there's something big there.

Yeah, there was a definite lie and some animosity between the brothers. Liking the new Audrey (Audrey 2?) more than I thought, as in they're working her in well.

I'm really looking forward to hearing the explanation for Audrey/Lucy and Audrey 2.

They better not screw it up!

PS: As a straight man, I have to add that I think Duke is the most handsome man I've ever laid eyes on. He's mesmerizing.

I love the Audry/Audry banter, especially considering how sarcastic she is. I really hope they don't resolve which is the "real" Audry Parker too soon

This season is definitely moving along better, arc-wise. I thought this episode was as good as the premiere. The Nathan-Duke relationship continues to crack me up; I loved it when Duke offered to spring for a prostitute. These are guys who are supposed to be friends, but can't be-- not yet, anyway. And I loved the finale when Nathan cured the girl at his own expense. The show has been a bit slow, but it's always had heart.

It looks like the newspaper brothers will be playing a bigger part this year, which is good; they really have a strong New England flavor. I also agree that Audrey II is fitting in nicely; although it looks more and more likely that she's Audrey I.

The other interesting thing is that puzzle. It retained its power centuries after its "troubled" maker died. Usually, as with the "Rogue" guy, troubles end with the person's death; have we ever seen trouble persist like that before?

Well, they made a point of showing us the Chief's moving body pieces in the cooler. Is it possible his story isn't over?

On another note, boy they sure got rid of Duke's wife awfully fast.... . I have a feeling it's not the end for her either.

They did make a point to say they thought Ian had help...??

Yeah, I'm sure the chief is coming back; but that would mean that he's still alive in some way. If a phenomenon persists past the death of the troubled, that would imply that it's something supernatural that's independent of the person rather than an innate trait.

I was surprised at Duke's comment about his wife. It almost seemed like they decided to drop the plotline after filming the first episode and tied it up with that one line. I hope not....

Episode 3: Love Machine

A decent episode as far as the stand alone story. Jealous machines. Kind of creepy.

They're now becoming more direct with the idea that our Audrey is actually Lucy (the piano playing scene). Is she a ghost or an angel (a la Starbuck)? A reincarnation? Was Lucy troubled? And what to make of Audrey 2's departure?

Oh, and...what the hell is going on with Duke's wife? They dismiss her with a single throw away line in episode 2, then here she is as if nothing happened. Where is this going?

And of course, the familiar twist: what's in the barn? And where did the barn go?

Oh, hey -- I did some reading over at Television WithOut Pity's Haven forum after the episode aired, and it turns out that Duke was talking about Julia (the ME's daughter/substitute ME) going to Africa, not Evi (his wife). FWIW, I don't think we were the only ones who were confused by the comment; it was thrown out there so quickly. But yeah, initially I was sitting there scratching my head in bafflement when Evi showed up last night!

I was hoping for a Pontypool reunion with the rev and his real life wife guest star.

I was just getting warmed up to the second Audrey as well.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to Red Lobster.

Audrey II said she met her doctor-boyfriend (Ben? and did she mention a last name?) after Our!Audrey had left for Haven. Soooo...I'm wondering if he really was just someone she happened to meet, or is he part of whatever is going on with Our!AgentHoward and the late Chief?

How did Our!Audrey explain to him how they knew to contact him? She told him they found Audrey II on the beach, unable to remember anything (I think)...
