Men & Pierced Ears: Sexy or Not?

Recently had a discussion with a friend regarding men with pierced ears. I think men with either one ear pierced or both is incredibly sexy. I love it! One is great, both ears pierced...to die for!

What do you think? Are pierced ears on men too 80s? Or is it sexy? Or do you have no opinion either way?

It depends on the guy, and what kind of earrings he's wearing. I'm not into hugely mutilated ears (plugs and stretching). I do think the sexiest is one earring.

Truthfully, I'm not very big on piercings for anyone, so I couldn't really say. It's not that I find them unattractive, it's just not something I really notice.

I have the same 2 in the left "non-gay" ear I did in the 80's.

Though I don't know who decided the left ear=not gay, right ear=gay thing.

I've thought about getting 2 to match in the right ear, it's 2011 deal with it.

I wear 2 small silver hoops in the left, you'd hardly notice them most of the time.

Depends on the man and the earring(s). I generally prefer one ear to two, definitely only one piercing per ear.

I have to agree with you there. I am very turned OFF by the plugs, stretching (*gag*) and other things like that.

I suppose earrings are fine for guys who are less than say, 27, but as they get older earrings just look pathetic, although I'm sure some guys can pull it off.

I had my left ear pierced in 1987 in my sophomore year in college. It was the *kewl* thing to do, and really pissed off my dad!
Now whever I meet a guy who is around my age, I always have to discretely glance at the left ear to find the little hole where their earing used to be. There is almost always one there.

Earrings, unless they are huge or on particularly huge ears, are somehow practically invisible to me. I don't notice them most of the time. One time my friend asked me if I had pierced ears. I said no and then asked if she did, and she laughed and pointed out that she was wearing earrings at the time. I don't know, I just think they are kind of pointless and couldn't care less about them, on either guys or girls.

I think an ear piercing on a man, if done in the right way and for the right person, could help enhance their image subtly, but again, as mentioned above, effectiveness will vary between person to person. In my case, I haven't really been overly interested in getting ear piercings myself, as I'm somewhat put off by the relative invasiveness and hygiene aspects of it all from at least my sisters' experiences. Besides, thinking about it now, I doubt I could pull off such a look successfully and not look ridiculous and/or desperate.

Imo it depends on the ears. With some it looks good, with some it looks awful.
