Glad the show is back. I really enjoyed season one, and the S2 opener was good. Glad to see she wasn't 100% healed and taking down bad guys or something already.

We watched the first ep of the new season On Demand last night. Neither the wife or I got it. The cop has a SUPER grating voice and as mentioned above, comes across as pretty butch and makes some odd acting (or lack of) choices. The medical examiner is somewhat hot and a much better actress, but no thanks. Just did not appeal from an acting or story perspective.

There are way too many police procedurals to choose from as it is and we won't be returning to this one. Besides, the cop actress is a hard-core, right wing Republican and Sarah Palin fan. No thanks. *DUCKS*

My son (he's 17) and I were watching TNT and a commercial for this show came on. He said it looked pretty good. I told him I thought it would be better if they were lesbians. He replied they're not, then said never mind.

So it seems their ads designed to mildly titilate work.

So yeah, that tweet I quoted wasn't serious or anything. Although if they were lesbians I'd be 100% more likely to watch. Can't stand police procedurals.

Just about the only non-reality/non-sitcom shows making it on TV these days are police procedurals. The only ones I have any interest in are "Castle," "The Mentalist" and "Body of Proof." You can flush the other 800!

I like the mentalist and have yet to watch castle. body of proof was great and I am looking forward to when it comes back.

Watched the first few episodes of season 1 this weekened at a friends place and wasn't impressed.. i'm not a huge fan of police shows so it's hard for me to get into one.

So.. i'll stick with Castle which has far better actors overall, is lightyears ahead in funnieness and to me is just overall better.

Have fun if this show works for you.

If someone really wants that angle, the gag reel from season 1 shows the two lead actors joking around in that vein.

Incidentally, those who like Rizzoli & Isles may want to keep an eye on Scott & Bailey, a British series starring Suranne Jones (who played Idris in Doctor Who last spring), who co-created it. From what I've seen it's similar to R&I, but with more of a Cagney & Lacey feel to it. And no, the two leads don't appear to be gay in this one either; sorry.

they have yet to top the season finalle yet from last season.
