Yeah, I don't know the character, yet, but the movie looks really cool and it seems to have gotten good reviews. I'm probably going to check out Solomon and some of Howard's other characters if I like the Conan. Most of his characters sound pretty cool.

Did you here that Marvel is going to be doing a John Carter of Mars (movie, not books) prequel comic book series?

I thought Dynamite entertainment had rights for the series.

Marvel has the official rights and the support of Burroughs estate. since the first few Barsoom novels are public domain Dynamite, or anyone really, can adapt those and do what they want.

There are a number of good interviews from San Diego with the SOA actors. Enjoy New York, timothy.

Yeah, it's definitely very strange. I don't care for the more abstract art either.

Re: Robert e Howard,Edgar rice Burroughs & H.P.lovecraft comics & book

the dynamite entertainment comic warlord of mars is better comic than the marvel princess of mars. all this week I picked up the omnibus which has the original John Carter of mars series in it. the only problem I have with it is it's in black and white.
but the stories are great.

now I am going to start reading the marvel graphics of the conan books and then onto the dark horse series as well. all so plan to start reading red sonja from dynamite entertainment.
