Star Wars Weekends 2011

Me and my two sibs are driving down to Orlando for Star Wars weekends this year. We are leaving tonight so we can be there on the first day. It's the first time any of us has gone. I'm particularly excited to try out the updated Star Tours, and to see the various guests who will be there.

Is anyone else going this year? It will be every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 20 to June 12, at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Guests include:

James Arnold Taylor (voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars)
Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano in The Clone Wars)
Anthony Daniels (C-3P0)
Daniel Logan (young Boba Fett)
Dave Filoni (Supervising Director of The Clone Wars)
Bruce Spence (Tion Medon in ROTS)
Dee Bradley Baker (voice of the clones in The Clone Wars)
Ray Park (Darth Maul)
Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett)
Matt Lanter (voice of Anikan Skywalker in The Clone Wars)
Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca)
Tom Kane (voice of Yoda and Admiral Yularen in The Clone Wars)

Go here to see which weekend(s) each guest will be there.

Will post pictures when I get back. Feel free to post your own.

I'm going during weekend 3. Don't know how much star warsy goodness I'll be experiencing, since this is a kids-and-all-Disney-World-extravaganza. We are planning on going to the new Star Tours during that weekend though so I'm sure to get some of the fun.

Re: Star Wars Weekends 2011

Sorry for not posting earlier.

I had a good time. It was worth the trip just for the new Star Tours.

Star Tours was just awesome. We went on it three times, each time having a completely different experience.

We saw George Lucas at the opening ceremony, though we were pretty far away. Here is footage of it (George shows up at about 13 minutes in):

We also went to Anthony Daniels' "Inside the Saga" show. It was pretty entertaining.

There was, of course, a bunch of photo-ops available with certain characters.

And here's me and my brother dueling while waiting for Chewbacca to show up (I blurred his face as I'm too lazy to ask his permission to show it here):

Florida's a long ways away - any chance Disneyland in Anaheim would have similar events? Do they have an updated Star Tours as well?

EDIT: thanks for the video. They sure got realistic looking stand-ins for Luke and Leia!
