So, I have to wonder how thie Disney buy-out will affect the Dark Horse Star Wars in the future. Disney also owns Marvel, who was the first publisher to hold the license.

Dark Horse is only willing to say that the frachise will have a home at Dark Horse for "the near future".

I'm guessing that when Dark Horse's license expires that Marvel will get it again.

Or maybe not. If Lucasfilms continues as a subdivision of Disney, it could very well continue licensing Star Wars comics to Dark Horse (Disney gets paid in any event). Right now, nobody can say for sure what will happen.

I will be very disappointed if Dark Horse is booted. This could end up being the thing that drives me from the franchise. Failure to produce quality stories that are also true to the original material is what drove me from nu-Trek, and I won't think twice about bailing on SW either.

This statement makes no sense.

Will the SW comics license move to Marvel eventually?

It's a little too early to know that. In the meantime, read the two links Turtletrekker posted in his previous posts.

This will probably the end of the shared continuity, it was nice why it lasted. I actually feel depressed. Seriously, is this normal?
